A transition is a change in situation or routine. It can bring several feelings at once. Gather reliable information, identify support and break preparation into small steps. Some uncertainty is normal; you do not need to solve everything immediately.
Try it: Make a supported plan for a fictional new situation.
Wellbeing includes feelings, relationships, routines and a sense of support. Difficult feelings do not have to be handled alone. If distress persists, affects daily life or feels overwhelming, tell a trusted adult and seek appropriate professional support. Asking for help is a responsible action.
Try it: Privately discuss a support network with a parent or carer.
Respectful relationships allow choice, privacy and disagreement. Pressure, threats or demands for secrecy can signal a problem. Boundaries can change and should be respected. Move towards safety and tell a trusted adult when behaviour feels controlling or unsafe.
Try it: Discuss a fictional boundary problem without sharing personal experiences.
Financial and media decisions can involve persuasion, incomplete information and changing circumstances. Compare total costs, purpose and evidence. A low initial price may not show later costs. Seek adult guidance before commitments and keep personal financial information private.
Try it: Compare two fictional offers using tokens and clear time periods.
Development varies, and bodies deserve respect throughout change. Personal questions can be discussed privately with a trusted adult or qualified professional. Avoid teasing, comparisons and assumptions. General lessons should provide information without requiring anyone to reveal personal development or health details.
Try it: Identify reliable support for growing-up questions with an adult.
A safety plan identifies possible risks, appropriate boundaries and sources of help. Circumstances can change, so reassess rather than following a plan blindly. In immediate danger, seek urgent local help through a responsible adult or emergency services as appropriate.
Try it: With an adult, discuss a fictional changed-plan scenario.
A tactic is a planned action to meet a game objective. Fair play includes agreed rules, respect and suitable adaptations. Review decisions using evidence rather than blaming people. Competition can be enjoyable without making a result a judgement of anyone’s worth.
Try it: Analyse a simple adapted game with adult guidance.
Community decisions can involve competing needs and limited resources. Gather perspectives, compare reasons and use a fair process. A majority choice should still consider access and the rights and needs of others. Explain the decision and review its effects.
Try it: Hold a fictional planning discussion with more than one need to consider.
A useful goal is specific, manageable and open to review. Notice effort, strategy and support rather than demanding perfection. Record what helped and choose a next step. Rest, changing a plan and asking for help can all be sensible decisions.
Try it: Set a small learning goal and record a supportive review.
